RSF replanted the habitat of burned elephants
The summer hit Indonesia, causing forest fires to occur again in Riau province and other provinces, ignorant irresponsible hand fires, some burning actors can be caught and processed legally but some are still free because it is difficult to obtain evidence.
Fires in Riau Province also occur in the forests that are the habitat of Sumatran elephants, this condition is very influential on the stability of habitat and population of Sumatran elephants on the verge of extinction.
To avoid the increasingly severe impact on the life of Sumatran elephants, RSF is working with PEKAT IB local organizations in Duri-Riau Province to start planting trees in former forests affected by fire, RSF and vouleentir are committed to planting and maintaining planted trees.
The planting is done independently, on this occasion the Executive Director of RSF zulhusni Syukri accompanied by Vice Ade kurniawan, invites all parties to work hand in hand to save the Sumatran elephant and its increasingly precarious habitat. For those who care about elephants can distribute donations via RSF paypal account or directly transfer to the official account of Rimba Satwa Foundation.
We will provide news updates of tree developments that are planted via RSF official email.
