Protect Sumatran elephants from hunting and snares
Often we face the problem of conflict between humans and animals
Animal monitoring was conducted by teams in the field to monitor existing wildlife conditions such as Sumatran elephants, Sumatran tigers, bears and others
At the time of animal monitoring, the team found several traps that could cause permanent deformities of wildlife to be attacked.
The team found in this wildlife habitat is TALANG forest of diameter 30 centimeters
Sumatran elephants (wild) affected by traps will experience paralysis in the legs that must be resistant to lifelong pain.
According to RSF research results, the snares were initially targeted for wild boar but when the Sumatran elephant gets traps in the legs, the elephant can not release them to carry as long as the elephant walks so that the trap becomes stronger. Against his legs so that the elephant’s foot is badly injured even the elephant’s legs will loose on the elephant’s ankle.
The following video will show the sadness of Sumatran elephants (wild) that are difficult to walk due to traps
