The story of the baby elephant
As usual, the RSF is monitoring wild elephants at Balairaja Wildlife Reserve, which is inhabited by five elephants left after being abandoned by a single wild elephant with male teenage boys.
There is a strange thing to be found at the time of monitoring, RSF gets small elephant footprints.
Furthermore RSF continues to follow the footprints to get a group of elephants that turns out there are male elephants who have joined the group.
On January 15, 2018 the RSF monitored the elephant entourage, but did not see anything different apart from the joining of wild elephants of adult males.
Conflict began to occur with the community because the elephant troupe is located in the plantation area that has just been cultivated also planted. All kinds of firecrackers and sounds directed to wild elephant entourage but not in gubris because the male elephant is like a shield for the other elephant entourage.
The next day January 16, 2018 RSF resumed monitoring the wild elephant with a sense of curiosity that is still on the minds of each team moving toward the plantation area. While the curiosity is raging in the mind, RSF shocked by the appearance of a small elephant that is very small size. Allegedly the baby is a child of Seruni the female elephant who had been Disorientasi to Mumugo-Rokan Hilir.
Happy, touched and saddened by the stirring of the baby elephant. Missed already curiosity that few days exist in mind.
