installation of warning signpost
27 September 2017
snares or traps is an existing hunting technique of antiquity performed by human ancestors, until now this technique is still used and evolved in accordance with the times.
Every year, the death of protected animals is caused by a hunt installed by the hunter causing paralysis and death of protected animals such as tigers, elephants and other animals.
so far the hunting mode using traps is very difficult to do legal action because it is difficult to search for evidence and determine when the jailer to install the meshes.
to minimize the occurrence of death of protected animals caused by meshes, RSF ranger team conducts sweeping and destruction of trap within the forest which is the habitat of protected animals and installing warning signs “stop snares”
in the past year the RSF has succeeded in minimizing elephant deaths caused by snares to 0% and destroying dozens of types of snares in the forest
