The fate of the Bonita Sumatran tiger is threatened, the people are very angry and ultimatum nature conservation agency
The fate of a female Sumatran tiger called Bonita is now at the end of a horn. With the case of Sumatran tiger burial in the landscape kerumutuan – Indragiri downstream, Indonesia some time ago.
Forests as a habitat that increasingly narrowed due to the establishment of plantation companies in it make the Sumatran tiger threatened his life, not to mention the animals are usually preyed by him as food was participated and destroyed due to the destruction of existing ecosystems. Two cases occurred only 2 (two) months later.
Early january ago a woman named Jumiati, a palm oil laborer killed by a tiger, then some time ago a construction worker named Yusri was also a victim.
Now the anger of the citizens can not be raised, with the signing of a letter of agreement saying that if in a certain time the authorities in this case Nature Conservation Agency-BBKSDA can not kill the tiger then the citizens will do everything and will not be subject to any legal sanctions.
Clearly this is not the solution of a problem, the forest area provided by KLHK (Ministry of Environment & Forestry Indonesia) as a region managed by the company with the aim to keep the core area of an ecosystem clearly not on target.
Because in times of conflicts like this, the company supports the action of hunting and destruction of Sumatran tigers.
“If able and accept as manager of Forest Utilization Right (HGU) of the Forest, then the company should also be ready to become the manager of protected areas and also the habitat of animals that are in it”, said Zulhusni Syukri Executive Director of RSF.
Husni also expressed concern over the case, hopefully BBKSDA Riau can save Bonita and no loss from both parties again, he concluded.
By looking at the current conditions, the company does not seem to provide solutions for this big. The BBKSDA team at the bottom of the hierarchy is the victim of the destruction of the communications system in the government. “ The very thing is regretted, stakeholder communications are not synchronized, and causing casualties for mausia affecting animals, ” said Ade Kurniawan, Deputy RSF.
He added, Disorientasi that occurred in the tiger is due to the very basic things, namely habitat and feed. After that there are significant dietary changes, such as humans who are accustomed to eating plain white rice, and then eat corn rice which was much better and easier to obtain.
In spite of this, he urges that this is the responsibility of the Ministry of Environment & Forests of Indonesia (KEMENLHK), BBKSDA will only be the direct beneficiaries of the conflict-related impacts of policies.
